Cowling Companions - Cowling Companions are a social group and welcome people of all ages. Meetings are held in The Village Hall. We have an Exercise Class: 1.30 -2.00pm. tea and biscuits and social Drop In follows, cost is £1.00 per week, and £2.00 will be charged when we have a speaker or film show. Bingo is played on the first Wednesday of each month, money from this going to the Village Hall funds. We usually have about four trips during the year. As from 2009 the Membership is now £5.00 per year.

Youth Club – Wed 7pm to 9:30pm, Age 11 years and upwards in the Village hall. £0.80p per night. Snacks & drinks on sale.
Many activities including: Arts, crafts and games. Trips organised – Local, National & international.

Adult Learners – Various Classes arranged and ran by North Yorkshire County Council.
Cowling Moonrakers - Local History Group – Meetings are held the first Thursday on each month in the Village Hall starting at 7:30pm.

Cowling Homing Pigeon Society – The Society was established in 1901 and has been past through the generations. The Society belongs to the North east Lancashire federation of Societies, which in turn is part of the amalgamation with Manchester.
At present the Society has 12 Members at and holds the occasional meeting at the village hall to discuss internal matters
Racing season runs from April to August.
